🫐 Blueberry Cobbler

Warm, comforting, and bursting with juicy blueberries, this classic cobbler is elevated with the rich, golden flavor of Batey Turbinado Sugar. Its natural caramel notes enhance the sweetness of the fruit, while a crisp, golden topping adds the perfect finishing touch.


Perfect served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or enjoyed on its own.


For the Blueberries:

3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 lemon zested (2 teaspoons zest)



For the Batter:

5 tablespoons unsalted butter

1¼ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk


Preparation

For the Blueberries:

  • In a large bowl, stir together blueberries, Batey turbinado sugar, and lemon zest until combined. Set aside.

For the Batter:

  • Place the butter in a baking dish. Place the dish in the preheated oven until the butter is melted

  • in a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, Batey turbinado sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk in the milk until just combined.

  • Remove the baking dish from the oven, and pour the batter into the pan. Top evenly with the blueberry mixture

  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the batter is golden brown and a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.

  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
